Cookies Policy
Last updated: 15 October 2026
This site uses few cookies. The ones we set ourselves are needed to make registration and login work; two statistics services set a few more on our public pages. This page names each of them, so you can see exactly what is stored on your device.
1. What a Cookie Is
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep. On the next page you open, the browser sends it back, which is how a website can remember that you are logged in or that a form is half-finished. A cookie cannot read other files on your device.
2. The Cookies We Set
All four are strictly necessary — the site cannot log you in, hold a form or protect a submission without them. None of them is used to track you.
| Cookie | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
.AspNetCore.Identity.Application |
Keeps you signed in as you move between pages. | 14 days, extended each time you use the site |
ao_draft |
Remembers a registration you have started but not finished, so you can come back to it. | 24 hours |
.AspNetCore.Antiforgery.… |
Protects every form on the site against forged submissions from another website. | Until you close the browser |
.AspNetCore.Mvc.CookieTempDataProvider |
Carries a one-time message, such as a confirmation, across a single page change. | Until you close the browser |
Your language choice is not stored in a cookie — it lives in the web address itself (/en or /hi).
3. Cookies Set by Others
Two outside services run on this site, and only on the one page each is needed for. Both may set their own cookies when they load:
- Google reCAPTCHA, on the registration form, to tell a real person from an automated script. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Razorpay Checkout, on the payment page, to process the fee securely. See Razorpay's Privacy Policy.
Neither loads on any other page of this site.
Two statistics services also run on our public pages (see section 3 of our Privacy Policy). They are not needed for the site to work:
| Cookie | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_… |
Google Analytics: tells one visit from another so pages can be counted. On the public pages only. | Up to 2 years |
_clck, _clsk |
Microsoft Clarity: links the pages of one visit together. Only on the public information pages listed in our Privacy Policy, and only when you are not signed in. | Up to 1 year (_clck); 1 day (_clsk) |
MUID |
Set by Microsoft (bing.com) when Clarity loads, to recognise the same browser across Microsoft services. | Up to 1 year |
The visitor figures on the home page use no cookie: each open tab keeps a random number in the browser’s session storage, which is cleared when the tab is closed.
4. What We Do Not Use
There are no advertising cookies on this site. We carry no advertising or social media pixel, and none of the statistics cookies above is used for advertising. Our typefaces are served from our own server rather than a font network, so opening a page does not announce your visit to anyone else.
5. Statistics Cookies and Your Choice
The cookies we set ourselves are required for you to log in, complete a form or submit it safely. The statistics cookies are not: you can block or delete them in your browser’s settings and the whole site will keep working, including registration and payment. Statistics never run inside a student, parent or school account.
6. Controlling Cookies
Every browser lets you see, block or delete cookies from its settings or privacy menu. Please note that blocking cookies on this site will stop you from logging in, and a part-finished registration will be lost, because the cookies that do that work are the ones being blocked.
7. Changes to This Policy
If we add or remove a cookie, we will update the table above and the date at the top of this page.
